Since last updating, I’ve posted a couple of new stories over at the Murder Book site. I’m slowly building the library, but don’t suspect that I’ll be adding more than one story every couple of months (as much as I would love to).

Although it’s still a couple of months out, 2011 looks like it’s going to be an exciting year. As of January 1st, I’ll be without a regular day job for the first time in about 13 years. Instead of immediately looking for a full-time replacement gig, I’ve decided to try to give this comic thing a bit of a go. I’ve had an increasing number of lettering gigs and have been expanding my skills to also include flatting — on top of writing and prepress. I’m hoping that with all these skills combined, I may be able to eke out some sort of living.

Lastly, if you are the type of person who is into DeviantArt, I’ve now got an account set up over there too. You can find me at: edbrisson.deviantart.com. I’ve primarily signed up there to better showcase my samples, since the site gallery is not always as great (function wise) as I’d like it to be.

Just got back from Emerald City Comicon where Acts of Violence made its official debut. I am exhausted from the trip, but super excited to have the book out and to have had the chance to flog it to new readers. Sales of the book were well beyond my highest expectations and the reaction has been great.

Just looking for an excuse to post on the newly redesigned site. I find if I keep the same design for any length of time, I start to get restless. Thankfully with wordpress, it’s pretty easy to find a new theme and adapt it to my own needs.
